How one designs, implements, and evaluates critical decisions is crucial for decision quality. I offer consulting both for single decisions (e.g., an important board resolution) and in designing decision processes (e.g., hiring or other application processing).

In such an analysis, strengths and weaknesses of key decisions or processes are mapped. Which traps are you vulnerable to? Are you able to measure the outcome of decisions? The final product is a report describing challenges and opportunities.

When important decisions are to be made, it should be done correctly to avoid the most common traps. Guidance from someone with decision psychology expertise, and without vested interests in the decision, can be useful.

Some decisions are especially important and made frequently. Hiring, board resolutions, and case processing are just a few examples. In these cases, the steps in the decision process should be carefully thought out, and research shows they often aren't sufficiently so.
